My mum has eaten snake before. In PNG the natives sell snakes to the chinese for making soup and also the gall bladder. In fact i think we have a snakes gall bladder in our medicine cabinet.

We had one lying around a few years ago but if it isnt there anymore maybe i have :shock:

my parents don't believe in that chinese medicine stuff and they are very Australianised but their parents were right into it

Nothing wrong with eating snake is there?

I have dried snake bile from three different species of snake, it was purchased in one of those 'kill the endangered animal to produce something which some idiots are stupid enough to think works' shops, someone I know saw it in a shop and thought I'd like it :roll:

I have no problem with people eating snakes or using them for traditional herbal medicines etc as long as it is done sustainably ( ie. not an endangered species) and not wasted (like killing hundreds of sharks for their fins and dumping the rest of the animal).

When I was younger I had a great aunt who had diabetes. Anyways she had to get a toe amputated and my dad used to tell us that was what the snakes gall bladder was :?

Leaves a lasting impression on a kid. Although I always remember that great aunt when I see a snakes gall bladder
