Some strange behaviour...

Had my 5 month old bredli who doesnt particularly love being handled out tonight when I noticed him holding a little tighter than usual. On closer observation he was actually rubbing himself on my skin. He then started rubbing his head between my fingers.His skin was a bit wrinkly so as a precaution I gave him a warm soak in some water but he has a constant fresh supply all the time.I checked for mites and cant find any. I cleaned his click clack out completely and he hasnt been looking like shedding.Any ideas? Should I b taking him to the vet?

My guess is that he's going to shed, my snakes have sometimes shown no noticed signs prior to shedding.

Hi Sarah,

I would have to agree that it does sound like shedding. They will sometime shed more frequently or much less frequently. Who knows why? I reckon it’s just their way of keeping us on our toes! LOL. You have clearly done all the right things. Basically leave it be for the next week or so and see what happens. At this stage of the proceedings I would say you have absolutely nothing to worry about! OK.

Thanks Blue that makes me feel much better. Ill keep my eyes on him in the mean time and update you on what happens.

Hahaha lgotje he did that while i had my hand just resting once...I had him out roaming on the floor and i had my hand dangling over the edge of the bed. Suddenly he came up and started rubbing his head on my finger, i thought aww how cute. Then he bit it:/ not so cute....

A coastal carpet, did exactly, what you said,to me. It happened because i had the smell of food on my hands.
It freaked me out when the face/head rubbing started.
