I think steve is a cool guy coz he isnt affraid to show how passionate he is about wildlife. But that did sound a bit big-headed about being the "greatest wildlife warrior on earth". Seriously, who cares if he got close to a bloody penguin and a few seals, it didnt look like they cared to much to me.

You have to admit, he must have some big kahoonas for even being in that water. Without the dry suit any normal person would be dead in 1 minute.

After being in that water, even with a dry suit, I doubt wether he will ever find his Kahoonas again

did he really do much more than say David attenborough would have doing the same kind of doco?

The point being Dan is that Australian laws prohibit interaction with the wildlife of Antarctica. Plain and simple. I guarantee if you or I did it, we'd be in the shyte for sure.

Without a doubt Greg. I agree. Fortunatly I value my kahoona's! lol
Lol Em, didnt notice the "slapper" penguin at first. LMAO probly how crikey ended up in the drink. definatly priceless! :D

PLEASE dont compare Steve Ewin to SIR David attenborough. Daved Attenborough has gained world wide recognition and is respected my most highest authoraties for his work in educating the general public with global flora and fauna issues. He has managed to do this without being a loud mouth, a show pony and without acting in rediculous movies to premote himself. Daved Attenborough has gained his recognition through hard work, and many many many years of it, not by making the biggest noise he can to get noticed as fast as possible.
In Davids documentaries you will see endless amounts of animals interacting in their natural habitat, mating, feeding young, hunting, and going about every day activities, followed by lots of infomation on the species. In steve erwins shows you see him catch just about everything, pick it up, play with it, then he bosts about how good he is for catching it, and how much it hurts when it bites, then gives you a very brief description and lets it go. Davids documentries have led to the discovery of many new behavioural trates in different animals, and a few times have even been the first time a certain species has been filmed in the wild. Steves shows discover nothing, cause he runs around catching things then tells us a species description someone else has put the time and effort and research in finding out.
It is much easier to catch an animal and restrain it, then it is to have a skilled team to spend hours or days or weeks observing it in its natural habitat. The two are uncompairable.

Sorry craig, thats not exactly how i meant it mate. Sir David is my God! (so To Speak)
I just meant that Sir Davids early doco's saw him interacting with wildlife too, although that was years ago before laws against it were made. I dont know how old you are, so I dont know
if you remember many of his shows. Certainly Sir David never got a "look at me" attitude like Steve Irwin thats for sure. lol

in Attenborough accent:
And now if we're very very quiet, we might be lucky enough to see the Irwinius Stevensii putting on one of its common displays...

Sir Steve,why not?
Alan Jones got a gong in the Queen's birthady honours so i guess anyone could get something.

This time I think they're out of order.(Im with the boofhead this time)

lol Howard - - Crikey! I saw that show.
Sir D.A. continues  "...of what has come to be known as to "Chuck an Irwin". (ie. act like you've had 40 coffees and forgotten your ritalin) - - Note his bipedal stance like that of a cro-magnon, and listen closely as he makes the loud, uncannily human guttural sounds usually undecipherable by Herpetologists and only recognised by his own rare species; Terri Irwinius Americanus, Yobbo Australus. Bindii and Bobkus are sub species..."

Just having fun. I don't mind the guy. 8)
