Exactly the behaviour my Mac displays when she goes into shed. Don't stress, it'll poop when the skin sheds off... literally.

How often are you feeding the snake out of curiosity and also about the biting problem always let the snake see you when you approach it and handle it. If you feed the snake every 2 weeks it will poo every 2 weeks so that's why I was interested as to how often you feed it. And lastly have you noticed a dull in the snakes colour or cloudy eyes if so she is about to shed and btw I am in the same boat as you first snake 2year old children's python but I have had him or her a bit longer and I did a lot of research

My bredli shed this weekend. It hadn't pooped since it was fed a week before, yet lo and behold! Along with the shed was a large, rather smelly present!

If your snake works that way I would be most surprised. It takes them a few days to metabolise their food depending on heat/humidity/water consumed. There is an ideal body temp to get their digestive enzymes working efficiently otherwise the phaeces would ferment and putrify in the gut causing all sorts of problems as seen in snakes suffering from an impacted gut. You will generally get a urrate within 3-4 days of feeding and often the poop will follow that within a day or so.

When the snake goes into shed it sometimes retains the poop until they shed and as the stiff old skin comes clear of the cloaca the snake will simultaneously poop.

Do you recommend I see a vet? I read that all snakes are different in how often it sheds and pood

No.

Snakes do not have a timetable to ensure they shed and poo when you expect them to. Best thing is to make sure your husbandry is up to scratch and wait, it will happen when the snake is ready.

Your shedding interval is largely dependent on the age of your snake and how much it is growing, which will vary depending on how much it is eating and it's tank temps etc so you need to check your keeping practices and setup, as SniperCap pointed out, and judge it on where your snake is at. A young snake will shed every 6-8 weeks idealy from what I have been told and what I have found with my Mac although this shed is later than expected but she is two years old now and already 1.2m so she is at adult length and will probably slow down now.

My 2 year old Stimson's has shed once in the 5 months I've owned him. The cycle took almost 3 weeks to go through. No poop for the entire period, but took a small weaner mouse very early in the cycle. Then he stayed in his cave and refused to come out for 2 1/2 weeks. He then completed a perfect shed and a MOUNTAIN of poop to go with it. :(
