Hi guys yesterday i cleaned out my SWCP enclosure. i took out repti bark, branches and all other funiture. i resealed my branches, washed repti bark and cleaned inside with warm water an white vinegar. I placed her back in the enclosure with all but the bark, as it is still drying. I changed a few thing around like where the branches are placed. She has been on edge, hypo and pooped four times since yesterday i ve never seen this before do u think its cause i changed enclosure around? Why would she poo this much normaly its once a fortnight. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!! i am worried!!

regards matt :?

could just be rescenting the enclosure so it feels like home again.

Hi ozianimals
Is this a normal thing iv never heard that but it makes sence.!! Do they normaly stress out when stuffs moved around?

thanks mate

Hey Fay i coated my branches in bondcrete same thing as pva glue.
my enclosure is very dry so it works well and makes for easy spot cleaning.

Just thinking, don't know how long you left them before you put them back...maybe fumes from this may have sent it a little crazy...just a thought...

I have not heard of them going like that just by changing the enclosure....maybe vinegar fumes if it hadn't dried properly...

Yeah i was thinking vinegar too cause i only left it an hour, i left the branches over night but bondcrete is 100% non toxic and has no fumes. Do you think the vinegar fumes could of done any damage??

regards Matt

Not sure...but I have never heard of anyone using vinegar to clean enclosures.
Maybe just a drop of bleach or F10...
you just have to be so careful with what you use...

Vinegar fumes are dangerous as such but they can cause burning of the nostrals, headache, dizziness. If vinegar is mixed with other chemicals then it's a different story. But I would have it as a guess that the vinegar has maybe upset your snake.
