Ok I have myself a 5ft high enclosure that have the light's cords taped up best I can taped up with what? Is the adhesive side of the tape exposed? but now the snakes have themselves wrapped up there up where? Wrapped or got stuck on the tape? with part of the tape now attached to one of them. How many snakes are there? Question how do I get them down down from where? and remove the tape sticky tape? What kind? safely?

Mate, it's hard to make sense out this.

my little diamond has done this before:( i felt like the worst person peeling it off.
warm water seemed to help me alot

Question how do I get them down and remove the tape safely?

Unless you want to skin them alive, very very carefully.

Don't use anything adhesive in an enclosure. Its asking for big problems.

Go down to a hardware store and buy yourself a few cable clips of the appropriate size...

That's a novel way of getting snakes off a sticky tape. ???
This thread is really riveting.

Yes mate, you use them to nail the snake down to a table, and then you rip the sticky tape off.

Olive oil and gentle persuasion has already been suggested, and I think that would be best.
No point saying it twice.
I suggested it as an alternative to sticky tape so that his snake doesn't get stuck again..

Managed

Managed to get them down but the tape is attached to one pretty good, I tried soaking in warm water but it still on it. There anything wrong with leaving it on her til she sheds? although I think maybe when the rat passes that spot it will hurt her like waxing does to us.:(

I definitely wouldn't recommend leaving it. There's a good chance the snake will damage its skin. If the water doesnt work try olive oil as has already been suggested

If the tape can be removed, that would be preferable. Not surprisingly, the adhesive obviously is not water soluble although with some cheap adhesive tapess the heat liquefies the adhesive sufficiently to allow the tape to be peeled off.

It would help to know what type of tape you used and the brand. From that we might be able to determine an appropriate solvent for the adhesive that will not hurt the snake at the same time.

Did you try olive oil? Any cooking oil can be used if you don’t have olive oil.

Feel real bad as bout a dozen scales come off. Used Canola oil as I don't have Vege/Olive oil. Worked like a charm although dunno if got bulk of oil off her. Used diluted soapy water on her.

i find Lavender oil awesome for removing sticky off things .... must admit ive never tried it on a snake tho

I use Tea Tree oil for sticky stuff, try that

Why do the cords need to be inside the enclosure?
