RE: Re: RE: The cost of lovin your pets.

Umm, every time that I asked Brian if he was supplying again - he said no. Mind you, I gave up asking about a month ago (that was after a few months of being knocked back.)

:D Try Brian again...I think his SFR breeding is almost back at full production. Plenty of roaches, all sizes, but only taking orders from regular customers at this stage.

as far as i know you just put a good coating of fluon 6 inches deep around the top of the tub and you don't even need a lid...this is from what i've seen and works well.

I use fluon as wel, a friend of mine kindly informed me that it was a carcinogen... I am now in the process of switching over to packing tape and vasoline..,

Sorry AG - I am about to sound really cluless right now, but is that a prob for the insects?? (Christ I feel dumb right now lol)

RE: Re: RE: the cost of lovin your pets

$25000 A YEAR! I guess when you divide it by the number of snakes you have it ends up about $150-$200 a snake upkeep costs per year. Thats not too bad I guess.

LMFAOOOOO Right thios very minute there's an escapee woodie on my wall, and my son is on standby for when it comes down low enough. I can't beleieve I'm still sitting here!!!!

Fluon works great! Does anyone know why they can't walk past it?

Cheers Alex

Doesent look very slippery, the roaches dont actually try and walk past it, they just stop just before it.

I personally reckon cause its so chalky, their little claws/leg/feet whatever cant get a good enough hold on it.

Chalky? should be smooth and shiny, how much do u paint on?

I just painted some on a few days ago and it looks chalky. I painted on a 'thin' layer. It goes on kinda clear and dries chalky. Works for me.....

Re: RE: the cost of lovin your pets

Oh Yeah - that is a new one. What do you base this claim on? The fact that the insect don't eat it or they don't walk on it?

Can insects get cancer?

If you fed an insect with cancer to a herp would that cause problems?

Are you aware of anybody who has had problems that were traced to Fluon use?

Bouncer , your not the only one with a thing about woodies. I shiver at the site of them and more often than not i dont use them cos they make my skin crawl. What can i say, I love Reptiles and V8's but i am a real wuss when its comes to bugs like roaches. Gross.

Simone.

RE: Re: RE: the cost of lovin your pets

What amuses me about Fluon is that the only reason it is made is as a barrier for insects.

Many of the other popular Herp products - such as Top of Decent, Breeders choice and even the humble thermostat have been designed for other purposes. Fluon only purpose is as insect barrier which is exactly what herpers use if for.
