Apart from the stinkin toads, afro is right on the mark!! Get the car rego'd mate.

Ive had a beautiful ford fairmont for 5 months but 3 of those months i havent been able to afford the rego for reasons untold to the interwebnet people and it has really put me back heaps.

BHP's will always be there, and who knows, by the time you can afford a pair again they might even be cheaper than they were when you asked this original question.

The responsible thing to do would be to register and insure the car.
