is it okay to get guppies from the freshwater creek nearby and let the turtle eat it?
The water in the creek is sometimes dirty and you can sometimes see chemicals swerling around in it, would that make a difference?

I wouldnt feed anything if i knew there was chemicals in the water, could you find another creek, ive never keeped turtles,a friend does he feeds his guppies small pieces of mince rolled into little balls etc.

That would be ok if the water was clean. The best turtle food on the market is Hikari Cichlid Gold

mince meat is extremely bad for turtles as its too high in fat , and it will cause issues and over a long period of time = DEATH.

ill put it this way , would u drink from the freshwater creek ?
i wouldnt get ANYTHING from any creek without checking to see if there are chemicals in the water . besides guppies are very easy to breed and will pay for them selfs in no time .

Hey,

depending on what type of turtle you have,
it is probably wise to just buy some feeder fish or feeder yabbies from a pet store close to you... the are relatively cheap and seem to work well...

I also should remind you to vary the diet of your turtle, be sure to mix greens and pellets into the diet

hope this helps
