I am trying to put together a full list of species that would be found in warrumbungles national park to save me having to look through my books, so just wondering, what species hae you seen there?

thanks ssssnakeman, I sent him a PM earlier as I know he has found many species there. I went there years ago but only managed to find a spotted black and a red belly and some lacies and a few skinks

Haha i went there in Year 11 for a school excursion!
Its pretty cool there, it was 10 years ago though so if i saw a snake i probably would have ran!

If you go to the DECC website it is possible to search for the species lists by NP.

coral snake, de vis' snake, death adder added to list, also think shinglebacks may be found there?

check the toilet blocks at campsites at nights, always some geckos (beautiful O. monilis, bland G. dubia) about, dunno about shinglebacks, but have seen them on the road near coonabarabran...
i seem to find something new each time i am there

yer, I have been told where to look for the geckos, there the main thing I wanna see all of. how about legless lizards, I recon delma inorata should be foudn out there

Mulgas have also been seen in the park. Seen a dor about 5 km outside the warrumbungles.

Looks pretty complete to me. That list includes many more species than I have seen in my 4 visits.

You should have a great time there with so much to photo. Be sure and go on the Grand High Tops walk. It is not too bad and the views are spectacular.
