very interesting article, but in the opposite direction snakes (at least some) are not immune to their own venom.
A recent video showed a mulga snake (Pseudechis australis) also known as a king brown who had bitten himself on the tail and there was a bit of necrosis that had to be treated. At Australian Reptile Park
This is something I didn't think could happen
