Has anyone used this stuff ? l have been told by a cabnetmaker that this stuff is better than MDF . On the outside it looks the same [ white waterproof coating ] but inside it is chemicaly treated woodchips [ greenish ] . l dont want to use it if it is crap .:)

i personally wouldnt use it, are you weanting to make an enclosure out of it?
the outside coating is what makes it waterproof but if the ends are left exposed it can still be affected by water and break down like normal chipboard

Seal the ends with PVA or silicone before you put it together

Its what is used in kitchens but the raw edges need to be sealed to make it water resistant.

It's good stuff and far superior to MDF and the dust wont kill you when you saw it up. You have to seal the exposed edges that's all.

Mate its the only way to go when building a enclosure! a little bit more pricey but well worth it! just make sure you seal the ends in! you could ask your cabnet marker to cut it to size and then seal the ends for you! I wouldnt hasitate about using silcone inside the enclosure around where all the egdes meet! I like to steam clean my enclosures out, so i wouldnt want any water getting past that egde!

The cabnet maker is constructing the box , l will fit the glass and electrics . He is sealing the ends and the joins for me . l just wanted to check this stuff was as good as he said , thank you for the replies .
