What can I put in here?

Just wondering what you think I could put in an empty 31x20x24 inch enclosure? (glass tank)? I was thinking probably gecko's as adults? or maybe a small skink/lizard? What do you think I could put in it that can stay in it as an adult? or maybe have to get upgraded when it becomes an adult? any suggestions welcome

I think I'm going to go with a type of gecko, are thick tails good for a beginner? would 31x20x24inches be ok for a trio of them? how much would I be looking at for a trio? and I'd need a heatmat and thermostat correct?
