What do you all use to heat your SNAKES enclosure?

Red Spot Globes, but in winter I may up-grade to Ceramic Heat Bulbs and if needed Heat Cord. I am thinking of offering someone I know with heaps of Heat mats (they couldn't use them) some money to trial them for my enclosures. But I am using Sand as my substrate, so I would need to be careful.

Same. I have a couple tanks with lights but I only use el-cheapo lights from Coles. The dear ones blow all the time, sick of changing them. Philips has a spot bulb with frosted sides, works well. Any new tanks I buy I won't be using lights. Make up heat panels with heating cords, cheaper & safer.

Sales....beat me to it. Yep! Can get them anywhere. Coles has some for $3 and so far ... touch wood ... they seem to be lasting heaps longer than the ones from pet shops.

I use 40w red spot globes, flouro helps notch up heat durin day in a 3ft enclosure
when new large enclosure is done will prob have 100w red spot globe and a heat mat
as it is fairly large (just over 5ft tall)

Ceramic Heat Emitters, Reptile Radiators, Infrared Globes, Heat Cords - whatever I can be bothered setting the enclosure up with at the time.

It's good to have options =) I have a "reptile cupboard" that has all of the heat source, hide rocks, water bowls and everything in it, so I juts grab out whatever I need when setting up an enclosure

yea , same . Along with about 100 take-away food containers for all the hatchies I will
one day hopefully have to sell

Ah yup! I have a 120L click clack full of paper towel rolls and pill boxes and god knows what else for hides, This hobby is rather addictive!
