Hi all,

I was cleaning out my bluey's enclosure this morning and I found some poop that had worms on it. Does anyone know if they are intestinal worms from the lizard or has something laid eggs on the poop and it's hatched out the worms?

Yeah, sorry about that..lol

Nope, I've never fed mealworms to my bluey and I thought they might be maggots too, cause occasionally the odd fly will get into the enclosure.

Cool...well I won't worry so much now but I'll make sure I chase any flies out of the enclosure next time.

Stick the maggots in a strainer and rinse them clean if you have frogs - great food for them.

If you need more, its been a while since I've cleaned up after my German Shepherd. :)

Kidding. I did it a few months ago.

Kidding again.

Hey jewly
I had a similar problem with flys in the blueys tank so I went to the recyclers and got a flyscreen off a small window and place it over the tank during the day:)

Even if i did have frogs, there's no way I'd be straining poop.

This is my bluey's enclosure, so I don't need fly screen but I just notice the odd fly getting in when I'm cleaning it out. I've normally just left them in there, thinking that the bluey might eat it, but from now on I will shoo them out.

Or get yourself some of those sticky fly traps. They work and treat. I have a couple hanging in my reptile room and i never has flies bothering me. My area is not bad for flies but you never know.

Hey, now that's a good idea. I've thrown out the flyspray cause I don't trust my son not to spray it around cause I have nearly $150 worth of live insects in my house (woodies/crickets).
