Hello, just wondering, what is the limit to ho often I can hold my geckos?
I sometimes take them out from under their rock every now and then, handle them a bit, then put them back. I might do that........................5 times per day. Will that stress them out and make them shed tails and that. I hope not.

Cheers,

S-buster.:)

Geckos don't really like handling mate, 5x a day is way too much IMO. Get a beardie if you want something to handle.

Yep I dont handle mine at all, excpet for moving them to clean enclosures, and to health check.
Same, Even then they don`t like it. Like junglepython2 said if you want an animal to handle get a beardie mate ;)

Beardies tolerate it more readily than geckoes, but if someone wants to handle something you should recommend they get a dog or a girlfriend; they both love handling, the more the better.

Yeah S-Buster, from my experiance, Geckos dont like to be handled, but I had one once where I handled it once and it was ok, but they dont really like it.

Wait another couple of weeks until you get your spotted!

i dont find em that great to handle anyway! i mean i used to catch leaf tails all the time and i just stuck em on my shirt and left em there and they were good but....they struggle so much and fall off my hand so i just dont get them out....they are only small remember....you would appear a monster to it!
