Hi Guys,

Our little carpet shed today and now has this white patch behind its head about 5cm down, I have cheaked the shed and its not retained and there is nothing on the shed in this area. There was nothing there before the shed, the light is a reptile one fan heater so i dont think it is a burn, and there is nothing else in the enclosure that would have caused it i don't think.

Thanks

I'm not sure what it is, but it looks very similar to marks I found on the necks of some wild geckos last week.

New Morph ! :D
Quick put it on herptrader or gumtree for $15000 as new piebald

Does the white patch feel a little rougher than the normal looking skin around it? It looks like the top surface of her scales has come off, but you said there was nothing on the shed skin?

it feels pretty normal, and it doesnt seem to be bothering her, she is fiesty like always. just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or possibly knows what this is?

I have seen with Ball Pythons snakes that have pne half of them as white...they called them apple pie or something....maybe you are going to ahve some pigment changes...how old is your baby

I am sure you would know if it was a burn...if the skin feels the same...smooth and healthy hyrated like the rest of her then it is a pigment issue....

keep up updated !!!

I will have another look tonight after work and see if there is anychange to the colour, if it is starting to scab over or anychanges to the spot, if there is i will post photos of the change.

Still no change this afternoon, its weird coz you can still faintly see a mark where the marking used to be.
