When to feed hatchies

Hi all
Just had some childrens hatch & was wondering how long i should wait till i feed them?

wait till they've had their first shed and then offer some food every 5-7 days until the are feeding.

How long roughly after hatching should they shed?

They should shed within a fortnight,sometimes longer.What species we talking about..
