Hi I'm just after some help on when to start cooling my beardies and what s the best way. My Male is already sleeping a fair bit so do I start lowering temps slowly or in one hit? Cheers

I'm of the belief they will cool themselves naturally, lizards as adults should only have access to day heat so the colder nights will trigger them into brumation, still give them day heat as the sun don't disappear in winter either. Hope that helps!

Totally agree with this - we have been breeding Beardies for years and on the odd occassion I have tried to stop some of the older ones that I wanted to feed through from cooling it has not worked. Ours are offered their lights and heat through winter but once they are of breeding size and age will naturally cool themselves.
