Don't worry i check for legs everyday with my camera hoping for a pic. What is leucistic?

Leucistic is similar to albino only the eyes stay their normal color where as albinos have red eyes. Good luck with the little fellas.

Leucistic lack all pigment not only melanin which is what albino's lack. They do tend to retain the pigemnt in their eyes. So leucsitic animals will be totally white unlike most albinos which still often contain patterns and colours from their remaining pigments.

Oh, ok. Cool. I realy hope they survive. So would leucistic tadpoles become white frogs?

Still the same. From what ive read they take a pretty long time to morph, like six months or something. I still keep checking everyday though.

Ok gang its been 4 months but one of the taddies had sprouted back legs and the front ones can be seen under the skin. Its the biggest of the lot and is very active. I've been trying to get pics but he wont stop moving so i'll try again later.

please do would be great to c :)

Hey, Ive bred frogs for many years now,,

I have come across many white taddies in my time and usually there is nothing different in their development, i do agree with some of the above quotes saying that they would survive in the wild due to natural selection though as they are in the captive environment they have a far greater chance, If you are at all worried about their development or if there are begining to sprout legs and you think they may be a bit to fragile during metomorphosis my little handy hint is once you see the front legs coming out feed them up on blood worms or brine shrimp, its not the best for them when they are young taddies but when they're ready to hop out of the water it gives them a load of protein to help them put on a little extra weight.

With my white taddies once they became froglets there was a slight difference in colouration but as they go bigger the differences became less noticeable,,

hope this rambling helps

Ok this is the best i could get. Thanks to everyone who has given me advice and well wishes.

Nice, I think that usually the white pigmentation becomes less noticable as they grow? Correct me if im wrong though.... but never the less i would love to see some pics as they grow!

Heres a couple more pics of the fat wite taddie with legs. I can see his front legs moving under his skin now, its kinda weird. My Mrs gets grossed out by it.
