Dont you love how they used to catch vens in the old days, tail em first if your cautious then grab them behind the head.

I'm with Doberdude it's definately Elvis.

Well everybody, that solves the mystery, Elvis is alive and well, living in QLD catching Scrubbies and still wearing bad shirts  .

Somewhere in VIC.

Yes. Actually these photographs are from the Museum of Victoria web site.

Tell me when you would like a couple more clues.

Peter,- what do you mean the old days, tailing is IMO the only way to catch a venomous snake,(with a hoop bag). I hope your not one off those people that use those horrible cruel tong things. They should be band, as IMO if some one has to use them to pick up a snake they should not be in the indistry. Im hopeing like mad that you dont use them.

Yeah pinning is too much of a risk for the snake and yourself.... It makes the animal stress out in a big way too. It prolongs the capture and makes the snake feel 'trapped'.

I only ever do it when I absolutely need to, which is only twice with my captives so far. I just use a restraining tube if I need to do something to the snake!!
