Brian often used to be photographed for the papers when he was younger.

Those of you who have visited the Herp Shop may have seen some of the press shots of Brian as a few of the better ones he has framed.

The one taken with the tiger snake is, I believe, taken not too far from where the Herp Shop is.

I lied before when I said that the photos came from the museum. They are in fact from the state library. Here is link to the site showing a third photo of the man himself from the same archive:

(Brian is not as happy with this one because you cannot see the snakes. There are actually some more scrubbies in the bag he is carrying.)

I was just chatting to Brian - He suggested that he could do you and autographed photograph ;-). He was laughing but to me they are great photos.

Seriously though, next time you place an order with the Herp Shop let him know that you were the one that identified his photo and he will include a freebe or two in the order.

Peter,- what do you mean the old days, tailing is IMO the only way to catch a venomous snake,(with a hoop bag). I hope your not one off those people that use those horrible cruel tong things. They should be band, as IMO if some one has to use them to pick up a snake they should not be in the indistry. Im hopeing like mad that you dont use them.

Er, I'll let you read that again before I give you a serve.

ps, the only tongs I own are for serving food when we have company, otherwise, like with the snakes we use our fingers.

Thank god for that, my respect for you has been fully restored. There are anumber of people around the country with relocation permits that use these things and IMO it is a sign of total incompetence.
