I also got a shingle :)

So did the other person who owns a licence, and lives in this house (frebib(69) from here.

RE: Re: RE: Who got a Ballot reptile?

I've had shingles before, I'd suggest you all use antivirals.

i got a shingle too ^^

unfortunately my 'perfect' schedule has had a few hiccups so im now left with 3 options.

a. A helpful member of this sight could pick it up and temporarily house it with theres for a few days :D , though theres the situation of providing them with a copy of my license by tomorrow. :(

b. It could possibly spend a day or two in with my blues, though their only medium sized and may get bitten/fight, and that theres a water bowl in there at all times (stupid respiratory problems :( )

or

c. Place an actual lamp (bedside) in the cage for a few days until proper haeting can be installed, though this would not be UV and night time heating, other than a 300 by 200 heat mat would be a prob.

Which is probably my best bet? and although Ive been looking up shingleback care since i heard about the ballot, any additional personal info or links on shingleback care would be much appreciated.

Jay, i would probs go with option (c), they should be fine without heating for a few days. It is quite hot here.

In regard to the caring of your Shinglebacks make dam sure that their humidity is slow. They are very suceptable to respitory infections.

I am getting a pair in a week or so and the female might be gravid which would be cool.

Congrats to everyone who got something out of the ballot.
