WHY?

ive always thought it'd be a good idea to have only reptile related threads on the homepage... so that if u want to access the chit chat forum you have to actively go into it.

the majority of ppl here come here to talk reptiles, but some just wanna chat, thats ok. but personally i dont like having to filter through thechit chat threads on the homepage cause i only want to talk herps

Actually, that's not a bad idea. I don't know if SJ would be able to set the forums up this way but it is definitely worth considering.

Maybe take the Chitchat threads out, but have them in a frame on the right under the 'For Sale' and 'Wanted' frames.

Everyones IN arent they, thats the perpose of the site, for everyone to learn and be learned. ( thats my kiwi coming out, good english ah, learned it at scool,hehe). We all have an equal right to share our beliefs and methods from begieners to so called experts, which none of us really are as there is always something new to find out about our animals.

why are people posting topics that have absolutely nothing to do with aussie reptiles, ie, The war against rape, the kethurst tiger caught on tape, The london terrorist attacks etc, etc. These have nothing to do with reptiles if you want to winge about life go to some other site dont ruin this one for other people who log on to look at reptile related topics, go and have a cry on the "Oprah Winfrey web site" not here.

I was about to say isn't this Chit Chat a non-reptile related thread? At least give it a suitable self explainatory heading like "The Meaning Of Life" or something that pre-warns the reader of its educational content hehehe

There is a remedy you know lol Can't you bypass Chit Chat anyway by Accessing the Forum directly?

The IN group is basically people that have become friends via the site. Its made because of the relationships people have and of course you have to make those connections with a person before being accepted as someone that person has talked to for months if not years. Its like real life, you don't walk up to a group of strangers and say, "Oi, I am now a part of this group, do what I say."
