Hello all. I am looking for advice for my male woma, he has not feed since April (all other snake I have been keen for food). I have taken him already to the vet and this is ongoing. However I am looking for advice about this and if this has happened to others as well. And if so what did you do in this situation. Thank you.

I have only just started feeding my woma last week after brumation from the end of April. What has the vet said? Has he lost condition? What temperatures have you got and what location are you?

a 4 year old male probably has other things on his mind at this time of year,...

The Vet has not been to worried about that so far as he has not lost his condition as of yet. Living in the Hunter Valley. Housing is a glass with heat lamps and basking lamp, thermostat set at 32C.

I would say if the vet is not worried and he has not lost condition along with a glass vivarium in a cold climate your snake is not out of brumation and I would not be worried.

Hello styx, do not worry if his condition is ok as my 3 year old woma has done the same and refused the med rats offered for 3 1/2 months.I was told by the boys at Reptile City to offer a med mouse and if taken try another. It worked so I did the same think a fortnight later they also where taken with gusto.Wait another fortnight or so and go back to the rats you normally feed him. Then from then his normal routine.Good luck womas are great.

That's most likely your problem right there. Having the thermostat set at 32 often means you are getting a basking spot of a lot less. You need a probe thermometer the measure the temps.
