well i dont think ill be heving any feeding problems then :)

and just so i dont get ripped off how much is the average price for a woma is it around $400

i think i like the SA woma's the most bceause there almost patternless

Brisbane QLD

I have seen hatchie/yearling for $200 - $500 depending on which location they are from. The Tanami was $320 from SnakeRanch last year, this yr they are $300. My RHD girl I got for $250 from a breeder.

Which state are you in?

I would also recommend you read the Woma article by Doc Roc from Southern X Reptiles or better still, read as many of his articles as you can - Reptile Husbandry Articles by Southern Cross Reptiles

qld doesnt need a type 2 licence uless we keep 2 woma's or 2 BHP's or one of each

i think

My RHD Woma's mum is pretty much patternless apparently & we are noticing with every shed she is changing, starting from the head end her patterning is becoming less. RHD are one of the smaller Womas, similar to the Tanami's. The SA get rather big, more like a BHP which is fine if you are comfortable with that size animal.

Womas or GTPs are the only pythons on a cat2 in QLD but you are correct in that you can have up to 2 on a cat1.

does any on know any woma python breeders

i would like a woma that got big because i dont really like the smaller specimens like the spotted python because i loved holding the 3 metre olive python at corrumbin wildlife sanctuary

but i couldnt cope anything larger than 3m

If you are willing to wait a couple of weeks, there are a couple of guys from QLD on here that have fresh hatchlings. If you check out the show us your woma thread on the forum towards the last couple of pages you will see the new hatchlings.

ok yeh i might get my parents to see if we can put one on hold

ohh yep i found some by yommy ok thanks every one for all the help

I've kept both womas are by far my favorite python along with jungles coastals are pretty fun but can get preeetty big :p

In Melbourne we need an Advanced Licence which is another $100 on top of basic licence to own a Woma...sucks.

So I chose a beautiful Brisbane Coastal Carpet Python.

I use Kritters Krumble for substrate and nothing else.

There's plenty of threads on correct enclosure size for each type of snake.
Have a read.

And good luck.

you like SA womas cause they're pattern less ? lol naww mine has pattern he's around 2.5 years old and approx 6ft still has alot of growing to do. He's just silver until you get down abit then his pattern starts :)
