Can someone help me my woma ate 2 weeks ago seems fine, the did a weird shedding in pieces then went a funny darkish colour like it was going to shed again now it looks dried out and has raised scales. Moved the snake into a new cage a month ago with with uv light and heat lamp with coconut husk substrate. Don't get why this is happening have been soaking him a little bit over the past two days to help re shed if that's the problem please help me...

No that's what I though that's why I've been soaking him still seems weird... I hope that's all it is

Is he eating? Try pumping him with food so he sheds again soon and see what happens then go back to normal feeding routine.

this is a perfectly fine method as long as you dont use a drenched pillowcase, just damp.

what are his temps? do you mist at all?
oh thanks

and what about puting it in the bathtub filled up to about 10cm?

i'd check the humidity , try sprayibg/misting the enclosure for a couple of days;)

sounds weired maybe a bad shed just keep the temps up and pump him with decent sized meals to encourage shedding again? i never mist my womas enclosure and he sheds fine..

if you answered the questions you were asked it would be helpful to giving you new advice.

He ate no problem what going on??

thats not unusual for womas, they are pigs, mine eats even the day before he sheds.

I will keep soaking tomorrow

that definitely wont hurt. I would be misting his enclosure for a bit, just to get the humidity up to help him moisten up also.

I'd pm Yommy on here and ask for advice, he's the Woma king.

depending on the weather mine some times needs a mist occasionally, and occasionally has a slight retained shed but nothing to the extreme of this poor guy.

I would try running him through a damp towel. Wet a towel with warm-ish water, wring it out and hold his body loosely but firmly (If that makes sense?) and let him slide his way through. If there is a stuck shed it should be coming off. Do this a couple of times and see if anything comes off. Good luck!
