Hi all,
I purchased a GTP 2 days ago which came in a suitable sized tub for its age (2 months old). With the breeder the tubs were in a racking system that used a heat mat on the floor on one side. I’ve connected a 7w heat mat which is connected to a thermostat to replicate the breeders setup. Unfortunately over night the hottest I could get it on the hot side is 25 degrees despite it being set to 30 (I put the thermostat temp sensor half away up the tub where one of its perches is). I’ve tried to reposition the mat on top and on the side but can’t get the heat to transfer past the floor to where it perches. What’s my best option? The tub is an arms length long so a heat lamp wouldn’t allow for a cold side. Any tips would be helpful!
