Hi all, was just out at mum's place (a small acreage about 10km south of the Toowoomba city) and she's had this noticeably larger than your run of the mill garden lizard/skink on her back patio are now for a few years but we've never managed to get a decent look at it as it always scrambles for cover under the air-con box or behind the hot water system as soon as it detects anyone's presence. Today, just now we managed to snap this quick photo of it (not the best I know) but can anyone confirm if this is just a strangely coloured blue tongue skink or is it something else altogether? Blue tongues when threatened will hiss and display their blue tongue... we've never gotten any such reaction from this specimen.
Cheers.

Cheers.
