i'm incubating my first clutch of spotted eggs. i had a few seperate eggs but a large number that clumped together. they have been going well but i have 1 that looks and smells bad. the porblem is its attached to the large clump- if i leave it will it cause problems for my other eggs, and if i should remove it how do i do it without wrecking the rest of the clump?

thanks kim

If you are artificially incubating it would be a good idea to remove it. You may have to separate the clutch out, don't worry it isn't as hard as you might think. The eggs are quite forgiving, they can handle a bit of movement and a bit of pressure, a wetted finger pushed between the eggs works well. Here's a thread showing my first attempt at removing some bad eggs. http://www.aussiepythons.com/forum/australian-snakes-37/bredli-clutch-update-pics-44669

Hope that helps a bit.

that was a great link. thanks fro your help. i'll have a go at removing the bad egg.
thanks

Just make sure that you mark the top of the egg and sit them up the right way after you have pulled them apart.
