Not sure , alot of eggs never go full term though. the others look fine.

Should i remove it ? I removed another a few weeks back and where it was it looks like it is going the same as this one (it is on the other side ,haven`t got a pic as yet)

Could it have been infertile? Either way it should be seperated, as its likely to be dead and increasing the risk of the others getting infected.

Ok Thanks ,I candled all of them about 2 weeks ago and all looked great ,maybe it died .

removed egg

I removed the the mouldy egg today ,the snake had died : ( another egg is going the same ,only 11 or so days till hatching ,should i remove it too or wait ? 2 other eggs that were attached are starting to go mouldy.

maybe seperate the infected ones and change all eggs over to new fresh substrate. put the mouldy ones seperate from clump just incase they still hatch.

I think you need to check your temps hey bud. It is pretty unusual to have good eggs dropping off like that at various stages of incubation. Full term it isn't too unusual for them to die before they make it out of the egg but like this i think something is going amiss.

temp sits between 30.8 and 31.2 ? This is my first clutch and am after as much advise as possible .Thanks

I have a probe thermometer inside the container the eggs are in .The thermostat is a Habistat

Where have you got your thermostat probe? That should be in the maiin body of the incubator other wise you will get fluctuations in the egg container.

Personally I think many eggs that go like that are caused from the female, and the temps she has been subjected to during and before the period of being gravid, I think calcium and mineral deficiencies caused from a heating / metabolism imbalance help create eggs with not enough "goodness" to create a healthy, strong reptile and thus die at various points of development.

edd advice

Thanks everyone for your advice/help with this matter .Decided to leave the other egg there as I have candled it and can still see veins etc ,(only approx 7 days till hatching ,may still be ok?) JasonL very interesting info there.
