My thermostat and heatmat came from herpshop yesterday. So I will be getting my Bredi in a week or so fingers crossed. Just want to see if my setup is good.

10L starmaid tub
Habistat thermostat
aussie sun heatmat
ceremic water bowl
2 hides (one cool one warm)
paper towl

Temps are
Hot 30-33
Middle of tub (28-30)
Cool 24-26 (to cold for bredi?)

Thanks for the help.

Dave.

bredli enclosure

l will give you 9 out of 10 having bredli"s myself l use a 20 litre tub which gives you a bit of hieght to put some climbing perches into as they will OFTEN eat a lot better when suspended from a branch or something similar as they do in the wild....ps l am still glad to see you have gone for a quality set-up....take care

Bredli feeding

ITS MY OPINION,that bredli"s do prefer to eat off a branch or something similar, but doesn't mean to say they wont eat off the floor of an enclosure but l think there isn't anything better than watching a bredli snap a meal while suspended [which is only natural]...take care....

Do you know anywhere that sells some branches? I would like to add one. But can't find any for sale and I have no branches anywhere near me, if I did I'd bake it and use it..

(changed a little bit. When I didn't have the heatmat and thermostat

Ikea sells a whole heap of different sized tubs up to 200L (tall ones too) for under $40 with lids etc and come with castors for wheels etc. I use the little ones for hatchie tubs, and the big ones for bathing them in. hope that helps

Hi mate, your set-up sounds great. The only flaw I can see is the size of your click-clack. I personally use a 22lt click-clack. I have enclosed a pic of my enclosure for your perusal.

Cheers

Ok thanks. I can't wait to get one, bredi are so gorgeous! (spelling?) Just need to find a breeder in QLD.

Just put a wanted to buy add in the wanted to buy section and you should get a few responses. You might have to wait until christmas before any hatchies are ready. :)

Will probably wait a while now. Need to build 4x2x2 for my dragon and get another fecal sample done for her. So I'll probably end up looking around september-october.

Bredli breeder

You have an excellent bredli breeder right under your nose and she is on this site "BREDLISLAVE"......take care

I think your 10lt will be fine, I have a 7lt for my 5 month old Bredli and he absolutly loves it!! Ive also been tolled this should be ok until he reaches a year of age or gets to big for it, if you go to large he may get frightened as he is more exposed, just make sure you have plenty of hides, mine hardly ever uses his hide as he feels secure in his 7lt click clack and spends most of the time coiled up either on top of his hide on the cool end or on his perch on the warm end!!

Good point Bax. My boy likes his space though. He spends his days on top of the freezer in the kitchen perched in his branch as you can see in the pic. A very healthy and enthusiastic specimen. :)

FNQ , i would get your bredli out of that tub quick smart because the silocon you used (water and fungel resistant) is highly poissions to reptiles , the silcon to use is door and window silcon not bathroom and kitchen silcon , its the anti fungel cemicals thats the problem ,if he licks it it could be fatal.
