Caring For Childrens Python.

I recentrly purchased a baby Childrens Python. I have it in a plastic tub about 23cm x 33cm tub. Im using a heat mat covering less then half of one end.

Down the hot end the air temp in about 26-27 degrees. Im using a substrate called aspen snake bedding, Under in its hard to get a good read of the temp with a heat gun because it reflects. I am pretty sure im getting around 30-34 on the floor. I have the heat mat directy under tub. Im just worrieds im doing something wrong.

I promise you if you remove the substrate and change to paper towels just while young it will change everything, you'll have a happier snake and you won't be stressed regarding temps. Set the thermostat to 32 with a 2 degree divergence and all will be fine. If the snake goes under the papertowel- let it
