Hi all, I'm new here and excited to learn more about Central Bearded Dragons.

I'm looking to purchase 2 of them but I'm not sure if I should get 2 of the same sex or a male and female.

I hear the males can be quite territorial.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jaxta,

I have a male and female who can't live together, so I wouldn't suggest that there's any guarantee of opposite sexes getting along! It really depends on the individuals. And some experts believe that they shouldn't be housed together at all. Before you buy, be prepared to offer them both separate living environments if they don't get along!

The best case scenario if you're going to keep them together, is that they will tolerate each other and they won't stress very much (they will stress to some degree). Worst case scenario is that one or both dragons will die. Doesn't seem worth it in my opinion :|
