Hi Guys,

I know that the title sounds strange, but it is what I seem to have - Frank shed sometime early yesterday morning and I had a quick look at the slough to make sure that the eyes, nostrils and tail tip, etc were all there and left it at that - Frank was coiled up over the heat so I did not get a good look at him.

This morning Frank was moving around and I noticed what appears to be a scrap of skin sticking up from his head - on further inspection, the head does look fairly dull, which makes me think that there could be a significant portion of unshed skin.

I double checked the slough and it all appears to be there. :?

Here are some photo's - I've pointed out the flake sticking out (arrow) and the dull area (oval) in photo 1a.

Any advice?

do you have uncovered lights it could be a very small burn mark

No, no uncovered lights - heat is via a heatmat under the tank and the uv light is above a fine mesh - it is one of Peter's tanks from Reptiles Inc.

Here is another photo to show that the triangle/scrap at the back is sticking out.

I have given Frank a soak and then let him slither through a wet towel and the loose piece of skin came off, but the head still looks like ? stretched/dull skin ?

I would be happy to assume that it is just a 1 year old change of some sort, but I don't want to risk leaving it and making a bigger problem in the future...

Any help or advice would be welcomed.
