Hey just wondering how long should i cool my male and female coastal carpet python they haveve been cooled for last 2 weeks first time breeding.
Thanks any help would be appreciated

ive been reserching alot on breeding lately and as far as most people seem to say for coastals they dont need long, 2-3 weeks, wat are they both weighing atm ?

Just give them no night heating year round, then drop the amount of "Daylight heating" they get in summer by a few hours a day in winter, though usually just the drop in night temps are enough. I don't put carpets together till Spring.

Cool throughout winter (3 months) and introduce at the same time.
Once the male has well & truly lost interest after seperation & reintroducing and/or female is deffinately gravid then put the heat back up. 2-3 weeks of cool temps may not be enough for the male to produce viable sperm. JMO
