Yes she did wander into our yard but since we live in coastal Adelaide I would think she is not native to here. She was very easy to catch (she walked up to us) and rather tame so we were guessing she belonged to someone. We called all the local places we could think of to find out if anyone had reported her missing, there were no reports so we have obtained a rescue permit from the national parks and wildlife. It was the 14th November that she wondered into the yard so she would have been there awhile before she laid her first batch of eggs on the 4th December, we think we have lost the first batch hence the post the find help so the second lot laid on the 30th December have a better chance to survive. If she wandered into your yard then she would have found somewhere suitable to dig a hole and lay the eggs. So why do you now have the eggs??
Im guessing that your avatar pic is of her in an enclosure (mesh above her). If she is wild, then you cannot keep her or the eggs.
yes the eggs were a nice white colour when they come out but as she is in red dirt we bought from the pet shop for her they turn a dirty colour rather quickly. The eggs are sort of softish and 'denty' but not flat.are the eggs a nice white colour?? do they have dents in them and do they look like they went flat.
is she a wild water dragon??? or did someone give her to you that has a permit???
she has laid 2 lots of 14 eggsplace them in moist vermiculite, half covered in container. seal & bake at around 29-30 degrees for approximately 2-3months & keep your fingers crossed. Thats all I know. & I'm doing the same at the moment.
How many did she lay?
