just looking through what reptiles you can have under lisences in australia an say this one so i looked for information on it and all i found was they are simalar to bearded dragons but only grow to 8 inches and this is a pic of it below. Just wondering if anyone has one of these as a pet because there appears to be no info on them thanks.

yes they are interesting, but have not heard of any in captivity myself.....

they look very cool i think and would be easier to keep as they are not a large animal but the problem is i dont think anyone even has one which kinda sucks lol.

I havent seen or heard of them in captivity and assume they would NOT be a beginner Dragon.

Just because an animal is smaller than another does not mean it would be easier to keep. What would give you that impression? What site described them as being similar to Bearded Dragons?

If you want a small species, ask about readily available, easy to keep species like numerous Ctenophorus species....

It's very cute looking, wouldn't mind one myself :p

If they are on the list of what you can keep under a herp license then I'm sure there must be someone out there who keeps/breeds these. Or does it not work this way?? :s

G'day guys,

T.tetraporophora are definitely in captivity, and apparently aren't particularly hard to maintain and breed. Most are under T.lineata where paperwork is concerned. I'd suggest keeping, breeding and raising something like Central Netteds first, to get a feel for small dragons, and then put the feelers out for these guys.

Cheers

Jonno
