Heard of people using it to assist with RI by effectively gassing the snake or spaying a fine mist over them.... was really just wondering if there's any truth to it, is it good/bad? Any other information etc :)

I have seen it used in a vaporiser on Snakebites as RI treatment. Never heard of anyone else using it.

I saw an episode of Snake Bytes, where they used F10 in a repti-fogger, to cure upper respitory infections.

I spoke to my vet about using F10 in a fogger for killing mould in enclosures, the vet said that was fine, but strongly recommended I don't use the F10 fogger with the reptile in the enclosure. So I'm not sure what to think about this method either?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't using it as a fogger not help because you're in effect creating humidity? Wouldn't humidity in any form be the last thing you want to expose a reptile with RI to?

The reason why it's used in a fogger, is so the snake can breath the F10 into its lungs, allowing the F10 to kill the infection. I have not used this method and have been advised against it, but it apparently works for the guys at Snake Bytes, so the humidity from the fogger must not be much of a problem?

Just go to a vet and get some anti-biotics!
A vet consult plus meds would probably work out cheaper anyway.

F10 nebulisation is used as an aid to treatment of RI under certain circumstances using specific equipment. It will not work as a home remedy (nor for the snake bytes team) as the size of the water particle created by the average home humidifiers is too large to adequately penetrate the depths of the reptilian lung. All you are doing with these machines is F10 coating the walls and the oral cavity of the reptile.

Hey Dan,im using this setup that a friend suggested,(it worked for him).15 min a day.Snake also gets coated in the F10 mix as the fogger spits as well.Whats your take on this?

Impossible to comment without knowing the micron size of the droplets produced by that machine - as was said earlier, proper diagnosis and appopriate antibiotics are a better choice. Nebulisation is only recommended for refractory cases and as a secondary treatment protocol on top of the other medications.
