Considering the snake rubs itself stupid on branches and rocks and god-knows what to get the skin off I don't think your soft & gentle hands are going to do any worse! Some of the opinion you hear around the place are laughable! :)

give it 2 minutes or their colors smudge... they'll be fine!

thats what i did wrong no wonder one of mine looks the way it does - ha ha ha

Personally, I don't handle mine for a couple of days, I liken it to us having a sunburn that peels, or losing the first layer or so of skin, knowing how sensitive it can be, I leave them to it for a while.

i normally just give her half a day or so to relax then give her a feed, leave her 2 days to digest then have a little play with her :D

they tend to soak in there water bowl if its anoying them. you could always put a rock or log not sharp but ruff if it's having trouble. sometimes bhps have a bit off trouble shedding although mine hasn't scence it's first two sheads. and you've got some good advice as to soaking... but if it's just a little bit i'd mist up enclourse and wait a day or 2. i handle mine after shedding not so much right before cause thats when u can damage skin if it's not ready to come off. there's some links on this website of soaking and photo's search it if your worried..
