Has anyone else heard of this?

We just got our dog Vicky desexed.
She has had a littler of puppies, probably about two years ago.
She is 6 and I asked the breeder and the vet was it OK to have her desexed...for example..hoping that she is not too old and that it was not too much for her to go through.
They both said that it would stop her getting cancer of the cervix etc
Anyway, about two days later her boobs have filled up with milk. We took her back to the vet and she said just keep an eye on her this week and see what happens.

Has anyone else seen this before??? Weird I know LOL

Exactly what i was going to say..Its not uncommon and the milk will dry up .

yup phantom pregnancy, just watch out for mastitis... but hopefully the milk will dry up in a couple of days

Hey Fay my old Dane bitch did exactly the same thing after she was desexed. She has a small lump on one teat now 3 years later but other than that the milk dried up after about a week and now she's fat,happy and lazy lol.
