Hi,
I am building a four foot snake enclosure and was wondering...

-What's the difference between the Repti Glow and the Exo Terra Day Glo?

-What wattage should I be using?

-Heat mat or Heat chord?

-What is the best thermostat to have?

Thanks

I would be providing UV for diamonds.

The total number of watts in the enclosure (lighting + heating) also needs to be considered.

Diamonds are basking animals and in the wild bask all year round. Inside in Sydney I would be tempted to provide just basking heat from above, ideally accompanied by UV light and only for a few hours every day and provide no other heating. It might be a bit hot but one option might be to use a 100watt MVB on a timer and adjust the height of the basking spot underneath such that it got to a temperature in the low 30's.

(Factors such as how well insulated the enclosure is, ambient room temperature etc. obviously need to be looked at.)
