I assume you are making sure he is not going to get too hot on the heatmat in a container? That would worry me.

Its a medium sized box, bout 45 cm's long. the heat mat is the smallest microclimate one, only about 15cm's long, so he's got half and half to choose from.
and since its not on a thermostate we've put a small towel inbetween the bottom of the box and the heat mat

what temps have you got with that heat mat? i've always found those to be fairly junk for my herps. the scorps are the only things i use those with.

good i figured it was his infection coming up

just keep him warm and be careful what you feed him

Not quite sure as its not on a thermostat. its around 28-30 degrees so its not too hot.

thanks everyone,
he's doing better today, didn't eat though :(
let him run around outside on the deck for some fresh air instead of being stuck in a box all day. He seemed to enjoyed it, it was like he wasn't even sick :D he has good days, and bad days, but he's gradually getting better...

he is like 3 years old now, bob is still doing good, although he has been isolated from the others as its breeding season atm and he thinks hes more of the man than everyone else :) but he should be back with the others soon once his 'macho' has died own :)
