My Coastal is part way through a shed that is taking a loooooooong time. The top of her head is stuck on and she is trying to get it off and the shed also broke about 3 inches away from her tail which she is also still trying to remove....

Can i help her or will she get angry?

I had to help her a couple of days after her last shed and she was fine with that, but are they extra sensitive part way through a shed?

When i put my hands up to the viv against the glass she is kinda rubbing against it like she wants my help......:)

im not sure about them being more sensitive during a shed but if shes having trouble then maybe a warm soak in water would help

it's still all juicy, she just can't snag it on anything - she is rubbing on all the wrong things in the viv!

and what is with the greenish juicy stuff - not really noticed it before - like clear liquid under the skin?

If she's only just starting tonight, let her go. Mine like to rub on the side of the enclosure. If you want to help, chuck in a damp towel - the moisture may help. If she's still a mess tomorrow, hold her in a damp (not wet) towel for 15 min or so and let her wriggle out while providing gentle pressure. That often does the trick. You can peel if necessary, working from head toward tail. Let her work it out. Last time I thought I'd have to peel a snake, she managed when left alone overnight.

try some warm water in a mist spray bottle, create some moisture in the tank, after a while then give her a hand. Even good when they are coming upto a shed if she usually has a few troubles changing her clothes. Providing some rough rocks in the tank is also good for her to get a nice start on her peel

If the unshed skin is still moist perhaps give him a bit more time to work it out himself. And maybe remove the non-helpful items from the viv so he's only got the good stuff to rub against? But leave the water in, obviously. The fluid under the skin is a natural substance to help with the shed, as far as I'm aware it's what gives them the cloudy appearance before sloughing.
