help murray short neck..

Hi i have a 12 month old murray short neck he doesent go on land much and he is constantly sheeding his back legs flakey skin just on the back of him and under his shell its always like that and also he has got red under him what is it and how do i prevent it.cheers

Hi there, if you are really worried about him not going out of the water then taking him outside 3-4days a week will help.

How much are you feeding him? He could just be on a growth spurt. Taking him outside will help him shed his scutes on his shell.

Can you take a photo of the redness? Is it on the shell or skin?
