That's great news Lonewolf. You did a great job and now he is still in good hands.

Kupper you cannot advise that sort of stuff with a dangerous animal. Not everybody has the confidence that you obviously do, which is great, to handle these animals. Lonewolf did the right thing settling it into a tub and leaving it alone until an experienced carer came to pick it up. Your stress, worrying about being bitten, adds to the stress of the snake which would only have him wriggling and making the net tighter. When you don't know the experience level of reptile-keepers here IMO you should never encourage them to handle venomous snakes.

Completly agree, if he had gotten bitten this situation would have become much worse....

even if i knew what i was doing or not in a animal emergency like that i would have found someone with the guts to do it , not an animals fault that some man made object has got it trapped

you ask what would you do/ what do i do and you will receive the answer that i think fits wheither you take that option is up to your own discretion

Why does everyone assume i'm a guy..? Lol! Oh well.

The snake is in good hands and will be released back out here on friday if all goes well.

Excellent Lonewolf :D So I am presuming they have got the net off him. Good on him, cute little fellow can go home.

I'am glad lonewolf, that you had enough sense to Know that this was a situation that could have been a very dangerous one, and you called someone that had the right qualifications to deal with it .You did the right thing ,you free'd it up, so it was able to be removed from the net but the netting that remained was definately not something you should tackle with unless your experienced....well done, if only there were more smart thinking people like you .,, As much as you love snakes ,you are aware of what your capable of and what your not. ;)....in a lot of cases that senario wouldve ended with one of those "SHOVEL HERO'S"..
