thanks guys, ive tried david vella and will probs be my only option. i hope the snake can make the trip to st lenoards..

If you can make it to Waterloo, try Lee or Alex at BirdVet.

well the snakes been off its food for a few weeks and this morning i found it extremely stiff, cold, unresponsive. I moved it to a smaller tub and tried hydrating it with water through a basic syringe, ive got the heat at around 33C and covered the tub with a black cloth to provide some privacy. I attempted giving it a drink again and the snake flinched away from the water so that shows some hope. the snake is also moving its head around a bit. oh and its a hatchy spotted python.

ALSO the snake when i found it was in a tight coil that appeared to be very hard to unwrap (not that i attempted to straighten the snake out), good news is that he is now unwound himself and appears to be moving around normally inside his hide. still very slow and sluggish however.

A lot has happened in the last 20 or so minutes, he has now left his hide and is moving around the enclosure normally :) i am so relieved and looks like he wont have to go to a vet.

Personally I'd take it to the vet just to be sure...Wouldn't want to wake up tommorrow and find it dead...
Don't know if the others mentioned are closer, but there's a reptile vet in Penrith...South Penrith Vetinary Clinic. 47214796

Mate go to kellyville pets im sure they would know..
Not true...I got my whole setup from there and the guy that was assisting me, while organising getting the enclosure onto my ute, (who was the reptile guy) tried to tell me how to set it up and everything he told me was wrong.
Then again, they might have got someone new since then, but that guy had no idea.
