Well, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the information, Dan19.

Sexing is completely determined by the tail area, correct? How then can it still be determined if there wasn't a correct picture of the snake? Not bashing, I'm honestly curious.

Clitybangspython, you didn't answer my question. There wasn't a picture of the snake showing the proper angle of the tail.

Yes, and what does that tell you? The shot is from the top and very slightly to the side, whereas the examples Dan19 gave were from side on.

Why are you bothering to feed it during winter?
It looks like it needs to do a crap in the first pic...either that or it's overweight. *shrug*

P.s. I think it is too fat.

if you care to read it all it says that several angles are required and he can pick wild ones from 1 meter away also befor you try and burn me and bignote yourself i only gave my opinion MY OPINION i could be mistaken

So what are people comparing it to in the photo? (there is nothing for a size comparison?).
And yes, in the first pic it looks like he is ready for a dump!
Personally i don't think it's fat.

Jeeze, I wasn't trying to burn you. Excuse me for being interested.

By the way, I am not on anyones side here, I was just stating that people can and do sex snakes by visual sexing.

I know, and it's great that you did. It's something that I hadn't heard of before, and new information is always welcome.

Hi Guys,
No he wasnt ready to take a dump lol, thats just him..or her!
I have no idea who probed this one, i got him of Eddie McKenzie in Dubbo
and was told it was a male and also a Childrens. Previous posts of him i have put on here have told me he/she is a stimi along with Pilbara Pythons who i contacted for info. I will get him/her probed when i meet someone who does it.
I have just moved him into a new bigger enclosure so he can explore more:)

I wouldnt be worrying if that was my snake about it not eating.
I would be worrying that it was too fat.
A male snake should be on the leaner side if anything as fat males dont usually want to mate.
If they are reluctant to mate by being too fat then you would have to think that being fat wasnt making him happy.
Snakes should look sleek and not full like a fat ladies sock like he does.
If it were my snake l would drop the feeding back to no more than a mouse a month till he lost a bit of weight.
Feeding snakes weekly once they are older is a no no anyway and just encourages them to get overweight.
I bet if you asked any of the big breeders how often they feed 2.5 year old snakes they would be more likely to say 2-3 weeks especially if the snake is a male.
Anyway hope this helps.
