mate, I've had a few jungles now, and I can tell ya, it all depends on the snake. I've had snappy hatchies that have come good and my 6yr old son will hold em, and I've had ones that are snappy up until two years. if your going to get it USED to you, you've gotta be prepared to be bit a few times.:D:D. good luck.

hi,

Personally i believe you can create good habits which should preven the snake from biting you.

I dont think that snake ever really become used to you though they may begin to see you as a safe place to explore you become more like a tree to them.

To start working on your habits, you should first make sure you are clean before you begin handling the snake this is to prevent them from thinking you are food or a threat.

another thing to keep in mind is that many snakes become very defensive in their domain (enclosure) and often bite when you suprise them, so if you do not want to get bitten you can try removing the snake with a hook before you begin handling... often once the snake is in you hand it becomes comfortable and will generally not bite.

In other situations the snakes may just not be comfortable and it will take time.. as they grow bigger they usually become more confident and less defensive.

I hope i have been able to help...
