I don't think the 2 photo's are connected at all, the first one is the most amazing as Reticulated Pythons aren't known for being the friendliest snakes, the second is less startling as Burmese get extremely tame.

I reckon its a different snake, the patterns look different between the two photos to me

Ayup. Who'd be crazy enough to let their kids play with snakes...
This is my daughter who just loves to accesorise.

Have to agree with that. Haven't met a friendly retic yet (admittedly, I've only met a few).

That pic was first emailed to me about four or five years ago with the file name "insanity.jpg", a filename I considered completely appropriate.

Angel - I wasn't just humouring you, as boa said, Burms become stupidly tame as they get older so there would be no need to remove the teeth. Furthermore, there's something like 200 little teeth in the mouth, which are replaced fairly rapidly.

It might possibly have a bit of canker, tho'.

My first snake was a 4 foot Retic, my parents bought it for me for Christmas ! It became very tame but over the next few years I had several others which were true to form. An absolutely stunning snake. I will try to get some photo's of a friend of mine with a 20 foot Retic which was as placid as a puppy. Certainly not the norm but they are out there, the one in the photo must have been one of them I guess.
